Kathleen is a psychologist with deep experience creating conditions where individuals and teams thrive. She has nearly 20 years of experience as a C-suite leader – first as a nonprofit co-founder and most recently inside the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation as the Chief Talent, Integration, and Culture Officer. At Kauffman, Kathleen worked alongside leaders from a range of sectors – philanthropy, cultural institutions, nonprofits, corporations and venture capital – to create high-trust, high-performance cultures. She’s a collaborative leader who designs approaches to strategy, growth and development, and evaluation and learning to position teams to achieve meaningful results.

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Kathleen co-founded PREP-KC, a nonprofit that partners with urban school districts to create and implement district-wide strategies that help students succeed in college and careers.

Kathleen teaches in the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University and speaks on topics including organizational culture, partnership development, resiliency, and growth mindset.

Kathleen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from American University in Washington, D.C.; a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Columbia University; and a Doctorate in Psychology from Rutgers University.
